I hope you and your staff had a wonderful Christmas. I wanted to tell you about my experience with two of your employees, Alfonso and Mandy. I am a first time homebuyer and getting an inspection done by someone I trust seemed to be a very daunting task. My realtor recommended Sweet Home Inspections, but I called several other places so I could make an informed decision.
First Time Home Buyer,
I called the various companies during my lunch hour and Mandy was the first to return my call. She was kind and understanding of my questions. I told her that I wanted to hear back from the other companies before scheduling an appointment and she completely understood. After talking with the other companies, and seeing an inspection report that one of your employees completed, I knew that Sweet Home Inspectors was the way to go. The deciding factors were: 1) The reports are detailed but easy to read. 2) I could get the house inspected for termites and have the sprinklers tested all at the same time. 3) Availability – during the 10 day option period, it’s essential to have the inspection done ASAP. 4) Mandy was so sweet and diligent, I felt like the rest of the staff would be as well.
I called Mandy back and she set up my inspection right away – she worked with me to get the best price as well. In my eyes, she went above and beyond.
I wanted to have my parents and realtor there during the inspection as I’m new to being a homeowner and I was going to be a little late getting there because of work. Alfonso was there before the 1pm appointment, which pleasantly surprised my parents and realtor. My dad shadowed Alfonso and when I got to the house, I did as well. Alfonso was kind to everyone there and didn’t mind having 2-4 people shadow him at various times, asking him questions, etc. Alfonso was extremely thorough and took the time to explain items to me in a way I could understand. Everyone was extremely impressed with him!! After he was done with the inspection, he took the time to show me the pictures and walk me through what I had missed earlier in the inspection and a quick recap of the later items we saw, which shocked me. I thought that was fantastic and I really appreciated him doing that for me.
I didn’t expect to get the report that night because it was late when the inspection was done and I knew that Alfonso has a family. I knew the report would take a considerable amount of time to write up, add pictures, etc. but long behold – I got the report that night! Alfonso again went above and beyond! Later on, my mom had a question about post cable tension and wanted to talk to Alfonso about it. From what I understand, he did a great job of explaining his experience with it, etc. It put my mom’s mind at ease.
I can’t thank Alfonso and Mandy enough for their help. I’m closing on the house tomorrow and I feel like it’s the right thing to do based on the information Alfonso reported. It even helped with getting the sellers to get a new roof installed. The inspection was worth every penny and I will always recommend Sweet Home Inspectors of Texas, specifically Alfonso.

I just wanted to thank you, I love you guys! Mike did an excellent job with the inspection yesterday. Very thorough, an excellent communicator and really helped my first time buyers understand the condition of the home. And I might add he has a delightful sense of humor. My buyers were really impressed with him and so was I. He really out shined my current preferred inspector.
